§ 70.03 CUL-DE-SAC REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   (1)   The maximum length of a residential local cul-de-sac shall be 600 feet. Whenever a minor collector street serves exclusively an industrial or commercial area, a cul-de-sac may be allowed, and the length may be increased to 1,000 feet.
      (2)   This special provision shall be allowed only in areas which have difficult access or are otherwise unsuitable for normal subdividing. However, a 48-foot pavement shall be required in all cases under this special provision. No cul-de-sacs are allowed on residential collectors.
   (B)   The minimum radii for cul-de-sacs shall be as follows:
      (1)   Local:
         (a)   Right-of-way or outside: 50 feet; and
         (b)   Back-to-back or curb: 38 feet.
      (2)   Commercial/industrial:
         (a)   Right-of-way or outside: 60 feet; and
         (b)   Back-to-back of curb: 50 feet.
   (C)   An option of using either crushed stone or blacktop in new developments, both having to comply with the specifications of the County Highway Department and also that this chapter be recorded as soon as possible.
