(A) The removal of any such items or artifacts accomplished without a permit shall subject the person making such removal to a fine of not to exceed $100 for each day of violation. Where the offense is a continuing offense, such fine may not exceed $1,000. Any such items or artifacts removed without permit shall be the property of the city.
(B) The removal of any single item prescribed by this chapter shall constitute a separate offense; and should any portion of this chapter be declared invalid, the remainder of this chapter shall not be affected by such declaration.
