§ 90.02 KEEPING OF ANIMALS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS.
   (A)   Pets and pet animals may be kept within the city limits as personal or family pets, with a limitation of a total of five dogs and cats in any combination, and a limitation of five pet rabbits per household.
   (B)   Commercial breeding kennels are not allowed within the city limits.
   (C)   No livestock may be kept within the city limits.
   (D)   No exotic, wild or dangerous animals may be kept within the city limits.
   (E)   Anyone keeping livestock or other animals prohibited within the city limits at the time that this chapter is adopted may continue that use under the following conditions.
      (1)   The number of animals at the time of adoption of this chapter shall not be increased after the adoption of this chapter by the addition of any new animals.
      (2)   If the number of animals increases due to birth after the adoption of this chapter, the additional animals must be removed from the property within two weeks of the normal weaning period for that animal species.
      (3)   Animals that expire may not be replaced.
      (4)   If the animals are removed from the property for a period of six months, the exception to this chapter will no longer apply.
