(A) It is unlawful to leave a bicycle on public or private property without the consent of the person in charge or the owner thereof.
(B) A bicycle left on public property for a period in excess of four hours may be impounded by a law enforcement officer.
(C) In addition to any citation issued, a bicycle parked in violation of this section may be immediately impounded by a law enforcement officer.
(D) If a bicycle impounded under this section is licensed, or other means of determining its ownership exist, the law enforcement officer shall make reasonable efforts to notify the owner.
(E) A bicycle impounded under this section which remains unclaimed shall be disposed of in accordance with the city’s procedures for disposal of abandoned or lost personal property.
