(A) Designated city filing deadline. The city will set a deadline to file for candidacy with the City Recorder of not less than one regular, single working day and not more than two regular, single working days prior to the filing deadline date set by state law.
(B) Notification of potential candidates. Notification of the opportunity to file for candidacy for Mayor or City Council positions shall be placed on the local access CATV channel and shall be posted at the City Hall offices. All such notifications shall clearly state the city’s deadline for filing with the City Recorder’s office.
(C) Effective date. This section was effective on October 9, 1996.
