(A) Well head protection areas. Feedlot and manure management practices may be further regulated within a Well Head Protection Zone established by local units of government.
(B) Bluff impact zone. Modifications or expansions of existing animal feedlots that are located within a bluff impact zone are allowed if they do not further encroach on the bluff impact zone, all zoning regulations are complied with, and all identified pollution hazards are corrected.
(C) Transition areas. No new feedlot shall be constructed within any of the Transition Areas identified by the County Comprehensive Land Use Plan without approval of the city.
(D) Abandoned Wells. All abandoned wells shall be properly sealed pursuant to Minn. Rules Chapter 4725.
(E) Shoreland.
(1) New feedlots shall not be located within a Shoreland District. Existing animal feedlots or manure storage areas expanding in the Shoreland District shall not locate any portion of the expanded animal feedlot or the manure storage area closer to the ordinary high water level than any existing portion of the animal feedlot or the manure storage area.
(2) Existing feedlots in a Shoreland District shall not be expanded above 999 animal units.
(F) Floodplain. No new feedlot shall be constructed within a floodplain. Existing animal feedlots or manure storage areas in a Floodplain District shall not be expanded.
