9-8-4: REGULATIONS:
The following regulations shall govern the operation of snowmobiles within the City:
   (A)   All snowmobiles while being operated within the City shall have the headlight and taillights lighted.
   (B)   The streets of the City may be utilized only for the purposes of entering and leaving the City and for visitation within. When utilizing the streets of the City, it may be operated on the pavement as close as possible to the right side of the road.
   (C)   Snowmobiles may not be operated upon the following streets in the City: North Madison and South Madison Street; the full length of Buchanan (U.S. Route 136); on the streets surrounding the courthouse square; Adams Street between Buchanan Street and Memorial Hospital; Washington Street between Buchanan Street and Augusta Road; and Illinois Route 94 from Buchanan Street south.
   (D)   All operators must have in their possession a valid driver's license. Youthful operators between the ages of twelve (12) and sixteen (16) years who have been certified by the Department of Conservation may operate a snowmobile only if accompanied on the snowmobile by a person with a valid driver's license.
