8-2-4: SIDEWALK SPECIFICATIONS:
Where any sidewalk is constructed of brick there shall be brick set on end on both sides of such walk, and under and next to all sidewalks so constructed of brick there shall be twelve inches (12") of sand which shall be well tamped every four inches (4").
All sidewalks laid and constructed in the City, of brick, concrete or other permanent material shall incline towards the curbing at a grade of one inch (1") where the width of such sidewalk does not exceed four feet (4'), and in the same proportions where such walk exceeds the width of four feet (4') and the inner line of all such walks shall be six inches (6") from the lot line. All sidewalks constructed in the City shall be four feet (4') in width, except the walk around the public or court house square. (Ord. 20, 12-5-1908; amd. 1979 Code; 2018 Code)
