Any dog found upon a public street or highway running at large shall be impounded by the County animal control warden. Any dog not having been redeemed within seven (7) business days after being impounded shall be disposed of in the manner prescribed by the City Council. Any dog impounded may be redeemed by the owner upon payment of a fee of five dollars ($5.00) per day for each day the dog is impounded. Such fees shall be paid to the City Collector.
