§ 31.053 DUTIES.
   The Committee shall act as an advisory body to the Board and Town Manager. The Committee shall work with and confer with town staff, local residents, and business and community leaders to seek to improve the appearance of the town. The Committee shall review and recommend all policy changes involving the town’s nuisance ordinances, demolition of dilapidated buildings, and maintenance of town rights-of-way and town-owned buildings and properties, shall undertake fundraising for beautification efforts and downtown revitalization projects, and shall recommend specific projects to be undertaken by the town. The Committee shall also perform other duties as the Board may direct. Decisions made by the Committee shall be consistent with all codes and policies of the town. The Committee shall have a regular meeting at least quarterly, date and time to be decided at the organizational meeting, with special meetings called by the Chairperson. All meetings shall be consistent with state open meetings laws.
