§ 31.037 DUTIES.
   (A)   The Committee shall act as an advisory body to the Board and Town Manager on matters involving historic preservation within the town. The Committee shall be authorized to seek donations to undertake preservation projects within the town.
   (B)   The Committee shall work with and confer with town staff, local non-profit groups, and business and community leaders to seek to preserve and provide information about the history of the town. The Committee shall review and recommend all policy changes involving historic preservation within the town, including policies regarding use of town-owned museum facilities, undertake fundraising for historic preservation projects, renovate historic structures owned by the town, and shall operate the Historic Museum. The Committee shall also perform other duties as the Board may direct. Decisions made by the Committee shall be consistent with all codes and policies of the town. The Committee shall have a regular meeting for nine months of the year. Regular meetings will be suspended during the months of June, July, and August. The Chairperson may call special meetings. All meetings shall be publicly advertised and held consistent with state open meetings laws.
