353.10 VIOLATIONS; DUTIES OF POLICE; WAIVERS.
   It shall be the duty of the Municipal police officers and parking violation attendant to take and report:
   (a)   The number of each parking meter which indicates that the vehicle occupying the parking space adjacent to such parking meter is or has been parked in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter;
   (b)   The state license number of such vehicle;
   (c)   The time during which such vehicle is parking in violation of any of the provisions of this chapter; and
   (d)   Any other facts, a knowledge of which is necessary to a thorough understanding of the circumstances attending such violation. Each such police officer or Parking Violation Attendant shall also attach to such vehicle a notice to the owner or operator thereof that such vehicle has been parked in violation of a provision of this chapter and instructing such owner or operator to report at the Municipal Building in regard to such violation. Each such owner or operator shall, within forty-eight hours of the time when such notice was attached to such vehicle, pay to the Municipality, as a penalty for and in full satisfaction of such violation, the sum of five dollars ($5.00). The failure of such owner or operator to make such payment of the five dollars ($5.00) within such forty-eight hour period shall render such owner or operator subject to the penalties provided in this Traffic Code.
