§ 31.21 MEMBERSHIP; ALTERNATES; COMPENSATION.
   The Planning Commission shall consist of seven members, whose appointment, terms, removal, powers, and duties shall be as set forth in Md. Code, Land Use Article. The County Commissioners may appoint one of its members to serve in an ex officio capacity. The term of the ex officio member shall coincide with the member’s tenure as a County Commissioner. All members, including the alternate, may serve with such compensation as the County Commissioners deems appropriate. The County Commissioners shall designate one alternate member of the Planning Commission who may be empowered to sit on the Planning Commission in the absence of any member of the Planning Commission. When the alternate is absent, the County Commissioners may designate a temporary alternate who may sit on the Planning Commission in the absence of any member of the Planning Commission.
