§ 14-3-1 BREACH OF THE PEACE.

It shall be unlawful for any person in any public place to provoke a breach of the peace or use any violent, threatening, profane, indecent or abusive language toward or about any other person in his or her presence or hearing, which language in its common acceptance is calculated to arouse, to anger the person addressed or cause a breach of the peace or an assault.
