§ 2-7-2 TERM OF OFFICE.
   Every appointed officer of the village shall hold office for an indefinite term, or until his or her successor is appointed and qualified, unless otherwise provided by ordinance. Any officer appointed by the Village President for an indefinite term may be removed by the Village President at any time without cause.
