The position of Finance Director is hereby created as an employment with the village and shall be appointed by the Village Manager. At the Village Manager’s discretion, the Finance Director may be removed. In the absence of the appointment of a Village Treasurer, the Finance Director shall perform all duties and shall possess all powers authorized or established by the ordinances of the village or the statutes of the state for the office of Village Treasurer. If a Village Treasurer is appointed, the Finance Director shall perform such duties as are assigned by ordinance, the corporate authorities, the Village Manager or the Treasurer with permission of the Village Manager.
