There is hereby established the office of Village Treasurer, who shall be appointed by the Village President, with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees. The Village Treasurer shall serve an indefinite term which shall not be longer than that of the appointing authority, and shall immediately relinquish the office and its records to such person as may be named by the Village President as the Village Treasurer’s successor.
