§ 1-10-6 REPORT FILING PROCEDURE.
   If employees covered by this policy believe there has been an improper government action and/or they were subject to prohibited retaliation under this policy, they must report the improper government actions and/or retaliatory acts to the Auditing Official. The employees must submit their report in writing within 60 days of gaining knowledge of the improper government action and/or retaliatory conduct. If the alleged retaliation involves the Village of Carol Stream's designated Auditing Official, the employees may submit their report to the Human Resources Director or any State's Attorney. All reports under this policy will be promptly and thoroughly investigated. These investigations shall remain confidential unless the employee chooses to waive confidentiality or the disclosure of the employee's identity is required by law.
