§ 13-2-19 CONNECTIONS TO CONFORM TO PRESCRIBED METHOD.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful to make any connection or opening with the waterworks and sewerage system in any manner different from the method prescribed for such opening or connection.
   (B)   The connection of the building sewer into the public sewer and the water service into the water main shall conform to the requirements of the village’s Building Code and Plumbing Code, and other applicable rules and regulations of the village, and the procedures set forth in that publication entitled Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Main Construction in Illinois, published by the Standard Specifications Committee of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers, and other similar organizations, third edition. All such connections shall be made gas-tight and water-tight. Any deviation from the prescribed procedures and materials must be approved in writing by the Village Engineer before installation.
