The Board of Commissioners shall provide for the appointment of a Tax Collector to collect all taxes, licenses, fees and other revenues accruing to the town, subject to the General Statutes, the provisions of this Charter and the ordinances of the town. The Tax Collector shall diligently comply with and enforce all the laws of North Carolina relating to the collection of taxes and other revenues by municipalities. Such appointment may, in cases deemed appropriate by the Board, appoint another government entity to the position of Tax Collector via inter-local agreement.
