3-5-3: CONSIDERATION OF APPLICATION; HEARING:
The city council shall consider the information contained in the application and such other information relating to the health, safety and welfare of the city, including, but not by way of limitation, fire hazard, safety of citizens, especially children, traffic hazard, appearance of community, nuisance to nearby inhabitants, amount of unleased property in unitized area, size of unitized area, location and effect on utility facilities, specific plan of operator for location of rig, pits, tanks, and other facilities, effect on streets, and other relevant information. The council may, at its discretion, require answers under oath to questions in this regard to be attached to the application for permit or may hold a hearing, or delegate the holding of a hearing, as it sees fit. Statements by the applicant or his representative at such a hearing shall be deemed a part of the application. (Ord. 762, 9-6-1960)
