1-7-3: ELECTED OFFICIALS; TERMS OF OFFICE 1 :
   A.   The elected officials of the city are the mayor, the city clerk, and two (2) aldermen elected from each of the four (4) wards in the city, who shall hold their respective offices for terms of four (4) years and until their successors are elected and qualified.    B.   There have been created four (4) wards in the city, and two (2) aldermen are to be elected from each of said wards. The terms of the two (2) aldermen elected from each ward should be staggered so that one alderman serves for a term of two (2) years from date of election and qualification as provided by law, and one alderman serves for four (4) years from date of election and qualification as provided by law. At the expiration of the terms of the aldermen elected at the election on April 7, 1981, the terms of office of aldermen shall thereafter be four (4) years. (Ord. 1015, 3-16-1981)
