8-2-10: INCREASE IN CUSTOMER'S LOAD:
   A.   Specify Amount Of Load: When a customer makes an application for service, he shall specify the amount of electrical load to be connected to the city electric system so that the city may determine the adequate service of sufficient capacity for the operation of the equipment to be serviced.
   B.   Notice Of Load Increase Required: The customer's connected load should not be increased beyond the limits hereinafter stated until the customer has given written notice to the city office and the additional load has been approved by the city office, unless the load increase totals three (3) horsepower or less, or electrical additions total twenty (20) amperes or less, in which case, an electrical load increase will not require notification. (Ord. 1066, 9-19-1983)
   C.   Customer Liable For Damage: If a customer does not give proper notice of increased electric load, the customer will be liable for any damage to the electric system equipment resulting from the increased load. Furthermore, any person who installs additional electrical loads in excess of the loads not requiring notification without reporting to the office and obtaining approval of the city office, shall, upon conviction of such failure to notify, be fined as provided in section 1-4-1 of this code. The city may elect to refuse to furnish electrical energy to any person or corporation found guilty of failing to report an increased electric load that requires such notification.
