8-2-8: METERING RULES AND REGULATIONS:
The following metering rules and regulations shall be adhered to:
   A.   Meters Required:
      1.   All locations of customer service by the City electric system shall be metered.
      2.   Meters shall be provided and installed by the City Electrical Department.
      3.   All apartments or multiconstructed residential units must be provided with individual meters.
   B.   Locations: All meters shall be mounted on an exterior wall in an easily accessible location, as designated by the City office or their appointed representative.
   C.   Testing: Any City electric meter shall be taken out of service and tested upon complaint of the customer upon payment of a fee of twenty five dollars ($25.00). If upon test the meter is not within three percent (3%) of being accurate, it shall be repaired or replaced and the twenty five dollar ($25.00) fee returned to the customer. If the meter is within three percent (3%) of being correct, the fee will not be refunded.
   D.   Meter Stopped Or Registering Inaccurately: Customer billing will be based on estimated usage when meters are found stopped or registering improperly. Such estimates will be based on previous years' billing amended to the current conditions when such information is available. (Ord. 1066, 9-19-1983)
