A. Stop Streets Designated:
Church Street: All vehicles traveling upon Cherry Street and approaching Church Street from either the east or west shall come to a full stop before driving upon or across Church Street.
First Street: All vehicles traveling upon Smith Street and approaching First Street from the west or east shall come to a full stop before driving upon or across First Street.
Third Street: All vehicles traveling upon Fackney Street and approaching Third Street from either the east or west shall come to a full stop before driving upon or across Third Street. (Ord. 386, 8-3-1925; amd. 2006 Code)
B. Installation Of Traffic Lights: There shall be installed at the following intersections in the city, traffic lights for the better regulation of motor vehicle traffic on Main Street:
Main and Church Streets
Main and Main Cross Streets
Main and Walnut Streets

C. Placement Of Stop Signs: Stop signs shall be placed at the following intersections in the city, and all vehicular traffic approaching such intersections shall stop at said stop signs prior to entering such intersections:
Rice Street and Iris Lane: Stop signs shall be placed on the east, north and west corners of the intersection of Rice Street and Iris Lane.
Sixth Street and Maple Street: All vehicular traffic flowing north and south on Sixth Street shall stop at the intersection of Sixth Street and Maple Street, before proceeding through the intersection. The effect of this provision is that, upon its passage, the intersection of Sixth Street and Maple Street shall become a four-way stop intersection.
Seventh Street and Smith Street: Stop signs shall be placed on the east, north, west and south corners of the intersection of Seventh Street and Smith Street. (Ord. 1175, 11-18-1991; amd. Ord. 1194, 5-17-1993, eff. 5-31-1993; Ord. 1260, 12-1-1997; 2006 Code)
D. Stop Streets; Traffic Flow Regulated:
Bohleber Drive and Abelson Drive: All vehicular traffic flowing west on Bohleber Drive shall stop at the corner of the intersection of Bohleber Drive and Abelson Drive.
Crebs Avenue and Conger Avenue: All vehicular traffic flowing east and west on Crebs Avenue shall stop at the intersection of Crebs Avenue and Conger Avenue before proceeding through the intersection. The intersection of Crebs Avenue and Conger Avenue shall become a four-way stop intersection.
Herbert Avenue and Sixth Street: All vehicular traffic flowing east on Herbert Avenue shall stop at the intersection of Herbert Avenue and Sixth Street before proceeding through the intersection. The intersection of Herbert Avenue and Sixth Street shall become a one-way stop intersection.
Illini Avenue and Commerce Street: All vehicular traffic flowing west on Illini Avenue shall stop at the intersection of Illini Avenue and Commerce Street before proceeding through the intersection. All vehicular traffic that meets at the intersection of Illini Avenue and 200 Commerce Street shall stop before proceeding through the intersection. The intersection of Illini Avenue and 200 Commerce Street shall become a four-way stop intersection.
Paint Creek Lane and Rice Street: All vehicular traffic flowing east and west on Paint Creek Lane shall stop at the intersection of Paint Creek Lane and Rice Street before proceeding through the intersection.
Stewart Street and Hillsdale Drive and Stewart Street and Beck Street: All vehicular traffic flowing east and west on Stewart Street shall stop at the intersection of Stewart Street and Hillsdale Drive to the north and Stewart Street and Beck Street to the south, before proceeding through the intersection. The intersection of Stewart Street and Hillsdale Drive and Stewart Street and Beck Street shall become a four-way stop intersection.
Sycamore Street and Hillsdale Drive: All vehicular traffic flowing east or west on Sycamore Street shall stop at the corner of the intersection of Sycamore Street and Hillsdale Drive.
Sycamore Street and Seventh Street: All vehicular traffic flowing east or west on Sycamore Street shall stop at the corner of the intersection of Sycamore Street and Seventh Street.
Tar Springs Drive and Paint Creek Lane: All vehicular traffic flowing either direction on Tar Springs Drive shall stop before proceeding on to Paint Creek Lane.
Walnut Street and Robinson Street: All vehicular traffic flowing north and south on Walnut Street shall stop at the intersection of Walnut Street and Robinson Street before proceeding through the intersection. The intersection of Walnut Street and Robinson Street shall become a four-way stop intersection.
First Street and Smith Street: All vehicular traffic flowing north and south on First Street shall stop at the intersection of First Street and Smith Street. The intersection of First Street and Smith Street shall become a four-way stop intersection.
Third Street and Maple Street: All vehicular traffic flowing north and south on Third Street shall stop at the intersection of Third Street and Maple Street before proceeding through the intersection. The intersection of Third Street and Maple Street shall become a four-way stop intersection.
Third Street and Shipley Street: All vehicular traffic flowing north and south on Third Street shall stop at the intersection of Third Street and Shipley Street before proceeding through the intersection. The intersection of Third Street and Shipley Street shall become a four-way stop intersection.
Seventh Street and Maple Street: All vehicular traffic flowing north and south on Seventh Street shall stop at the intersection of Seventh Street and Maple Street before proceeding through the intersection.
Ninth Street and Maple Street: All vehicular traffic flowing north and south on Ninth Street shall stop at the intersection of Ninth Street and Maple Street before proceeding through the intersection. All vehicular traffic flowing west on Maple Street shall stop at the intersection of Ninth Street and Maple Street before proceeding through the intersection. (Ord. 1254, 8-18-1997; amd.
