A. Mutual Aid Agreements: The mayor and city clerk are hereby authorized to make and enter into agreements with corporations or organizations outside of the city limits under the terms of which compensation in an adequate amount shall be paid for services rendered by the fire department, and all such agreements shall contain a clause that the city shall in nowise and under no circumstances be held liable for any loss or damage by reason of its failure to extinguish fires within the territory described in any such agreement. All such agreements so entered into shall be submitted to the city council for approval. All such agreements shall contain a clause permitting the termination of the agreement upon six (6) months' notice. (Ord. 745, 12-1-1958)
B. Fee: The city shall be entitled to charge and receive a fee of one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) for each and every fire outside the city of Carmi city limits which the Carmi fire department is called upon to attend or extinguish. (Ord. 1416, 12-7-2009, eff. 1-15-2010)
