The salary of the fire chief shall be two hundred twenty five dollars ($225.00) per year; the salary of the assistant fire chief shall be one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per year; the salary of the treasurer of the fire department shall be one hundred twelve dollars fifty cents ($112.50) per year; the salary of the secretary shall be one hundred twelve dollars fifty cents ($112.50) per year; any captain shall receive fifty dollars ($50.00) each month payable by the city clerk from the city general investment fund. Each member, upon wilfully and diligently carrying out the duties in extinguishing a fire, shall be paid the sum of twenty dollars ($20.00) per fire by the treasurer of the fire department out of the fire funds.
