(a) "As built" drawings shall not have any objects, dimensions, elevations, grades, etc., crossed out. They shall be erased from drawings.
(b) Locations of all sanitary manholes and water valves shall be shown with a minimum of two dimensions required on all locations.
(c) Locations of plugged ends of sanitary sewer and water lines with no service lines shall be shown.
(d) All "as built" witness dimensions shall be measured in feet and tenths of a foot and shall not exceed 100 feet in length.
(1) Dimension lines shall be shown on drawings, except that where such lines would add substantial confusion in interpretation, written dimensions with an arrow pointing to the valve or sanitary manhole being referred to will be acceptable.
(2) Dimensions shall be from centerline to centerline, except for house corners and catch basins.
(3) Written dimensions will be considered to be at right angles to one another, unless noted or shown otherwise.
(e) Measurements shall be on the horizontal.
(f) Abbreviations will be accepted for the following:
(1) Sanitary manhole San. M.H.
(2) Catch basin C.B.
(3) Fire hydrant F. Hyd.
(4) Directions N., S., E. and W.
(5) Ohio Bell Telephone O.B.T.
(6) Dayton Power and Light D.P.L.
(7) Cincinnati Gas & Electric C.G.&E.
(g) The following information is required on all "as built" drawings:
(1) Measurements between valves within an intersection shall be shown. (These dimensions cannot be considered as either of the two dimensions that are required on all locations.)
(2) Measurements between fire hydrants and fire hydrant valves shall be shown.
(3) Distances between sanitary manholes and between a sanitary manhole and the plugged end of a line shall be shown on the plan.
(4) The length of span, the grade, the size and type of pipe and invert elevations are required on a profile.
A. The length of span may vary + 1.0 foot before the manhole location in a profile must be changed. The dimensions, however, shall be marked clearly and correctly.
B. Invert elevations may vary + 0.25 inches before the main line in a profile must be changed. The elevation, however, must be marked clearly and correctly.
(5) If a water main is installed more than two feet off the centerline of the traveled roadway, such water main shall be shown off the centerline on the "as built" drawing. If such water main is constructed within two feet off the centerline, it may be drawn as such, with the distance off the centerline noted.
(6) Measurements shall be provided between building sewers and the nearest downstream sanitary manhole, and between water service laterals and the nearest water main valve or sanitary manhole.
(h) The following objects are acceptable for "as built" dimension references:
(1) Fire hydrants;
(2) Curbs, provided that all curb dimensions shall be perpendicular to the back of the curb;
(3) Catch basins:
A. Dimensions shall be to the nearest corner of the steel edge on the street side.
B. The street and corner on which the catch basin is located shall be indicated.
(4) Sanitary manholes;
(5) Utility poles, provided that when a dimension to a utility pole is used, the description and number of the pole shall be given;
(6) House corners, provided that when a dimension to a house corner is used, the address shall be given; and
(7) The corner of a concrete drive, provided that the house number shall be given.
