The following briefly summarizes the procedures which must be followed in order to provide water and/or sanitary sewer service to a tract of ground. A more detailed discussion of each item follows within this chapter.
(a) Separate preliminary plans shall be submitted and approved for each proposed utility.
(b) Detail plans and specifications for the proposed improvements shall be prepared in accordance with the preliminary plans.
(c) Construction may be initiated only upon compliance with the following:
(1) Approval of detail plans and specifications by the Sanitary Engineer; and
(2) Posting of a performance bond with the Director of Finance.
(d) Upon completion of construction, one set of reproducible "as built" drawings shall be prepared and provided to the Department of Service, and a maintenance bond shall be posted with the Director of Finance.
(e) Connection and/or tap in permits will be issued only upon acceptance of the public water supply or sewerage improvements for the recorded plat section by Council.
