(a) No individual sewage disposal device or equipment shall be used on property which is accessible to a public sanitary sewerage system. When a sanitary sewerage system is made available, any sewage disposal device or equipment on such property shall be abandoned within ninety days following the completion of the sewer, and the sewage shall be discharged directly from the building to such sewerage system through a properly constructed building sewer. Such connection shall be ordered by the Department of Service in accordance with Ohio R.C. 729.06. Any abandoned sewage tank or other device or equipment used for treatment or disposal of sewage shall be thoroughly cleaned and filled to the ground surface with a suitable fill material, in accordance with applicable requirements of the Ohio Sanitary Code and the applicable County Health Department.
(b) All water borne wastes from toilets, lavatories, bathtubs, showers, laundry tubs, washing machines, refrigeration drips, soda fountains, drinking fountains, sinks, basement and garage floor drains (with the use of grease traps), etc., shall be discharged into the sanitary sewerage system. Any other wastes will be permitted only upon written authorization from the Sanitary Engineer.
(c) No downspout, surface inlet, foundation drain, subsurface drain or other source of ground or subsurface water shall be connected, either directly or indirectly, to any part of the sanitary sewerage system. Such drain, inlet or downspout shall be so constructed as to drain or be pumped into the street, gutter, ditch or storm sewer, and all such work shall be completed prior to the inspection of a building sewer.
(d) All costs and expenses associated with the installation and connection of a building sewer shall be borne fully by the owner. The owner shall indemnify the Municipality against any loss or damage that may directly or indirectly result from the installation of a building sewer.
(e) A list of all current charges and fees for the various sewer services performed are provided for in Chapter 1040.
(f) No sewer connections will be permitted if the capacity is full.
