(a) No person shall erect or maintain any fence charged with electrical current.

(b) No person shall erect or maintain a barbed wire fence that is partially or wholly inside of a residentially zoned district. In residentially zoned districts, a barbed wire fence may be erected and maintained if it comprises not more than three strands of barbed wire on top of a fence, other than a barbed wire fence, provided the bottom of such strands is not less than 72 inches from the ground in any direction, with the exception of livestock fences, which can be a single strand of barbed wire fence on top of a fence, other than a barbed wire fence, provided the bottom of such a strand is not less than 48 inches from the ground in any direction.

(c) Barbed wire partition fences may be erected and maintained as provided in Ohio R.C. 971.03.
(d) Whoever violates any of the provisions of this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. A separate offense shall be deemed committed each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
