In accordance with the laws of the State and of the United States, it is hereby declared to be in the best interest of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the Municipality to secure for all persons living or desiring to live in the Municipality, a fair opportunity to sell, purchase, transfer, lease, rent, occupy or finance housing, free of any discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry.
