(a) The operation and use of all purpose vehicles, trail bikes, dirt bikes and all other vehicles described in Section 476.01(a) are hereby prohibited within the corporate limits of the Municipality, both on private and public lands, except in locations where the operation is more than 500 feet from the nearest residence.
(b) Nothing contained in this section shall prevent the Municipality from regulating the operation of the vehicles mentioned in division (a) of this section in case of an emergency.
(c) Any parent or guardian who authorizes or knowingly permits a child or ward to violate any provision of this section shall be punished as a principal offender and sentenced pursuant to division (d) of this section.
(d) Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor for a first offense and a misdemeanor of the fourth degree for a second offense. The penalty shall be as provided in Section 408.01.
