351.16 PARKING IN FIRE LANES PROHIBITED.
   (a)   No person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in any public or private area designated as a fire lane by the Village Council and posted by the owner, agent or person in charge of the property according to regulations prepared by the Village Administrator and the Village Safety Committee. Police and fire personnel may park vehicles in such areas in the performance of their official duties.
   (b)   Whoever violates this section is guilty of a minor misdemeanor. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to one predicate motor vehicle or traffic offense, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the fourth degree. If, within one year of the offense, the offender previously has been convicted or pleaded guilty to two or more predicate motor vehicle or traffic offenses, whoever violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor of the third degree.
   (c)   In addition to any other penalty authorized by law, the Village may remove or cause to be removed, at the expense of the owner of the vehicle, any vehicle found in violation of this section. (Ord. 2005-26. Passed 9-19-05.)
