(a) The Mayor is hereby authorized to appoint a qualified Magistrate to conduct Mayor’s Court, from time to time, who shall meet the educational and professional requirements of the Ohio Revised Code and Mayor’s Court Rule 3 of the Mayor’s Court Education and Procedure Rules.
(b) A Mayor’s Court Magistrate appointed by the Mayor pursuant to Ohio R.C. 1905.05 shall be compensated in an amount not to exceed one hundred thirty-five dollars ($135.00) per hour of Mayor’s Court attended and held by the Magistrate, said compensation to be paid as on a contractual basis without further benefit from the Village to the Magistrate.
