909.02 STREET TREE COMMITTEE.
   (a)   The Mayor shall appoint a Street Tree Committee of not less than five members, but shall always have an odd number of members, including one member of the Cardington Garden Club and one citizen at large with expertise in arboriculture. Members shall serve for three years on staggered terms and without remuneration. They shall choose their own officers and keep a journal of their proceedings. (Ord. 2003-16. Passed 10-20-03.)
   (b)   The Street Tree Committee shall designate the species acceptable and supervise the planting, maintenance and removal of trees in the Tree Lawns, Parks and other Village-owned property.
   (c)   The Street Tree Committee shall have the authority to issue or deny permits for the planting, pruning and removal of trees in the Tree Lawns, Parks and other Village-owned property.
