Any person, firm, partnership, corporation, or other entity violating any provision contained in this chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, be fined an amount not more than $500; unless the violation relates to fire, safety, or public health and sanitation, including dumping and refuse, in which case the fine shall not exceed $2,000. Each day a violation exists shall be deemed a separate offense. The fines imposed under this chapter shall not preclude the city from filing suit to enjoin any violation, or from exercising any other right, and the city expressly retains all legal rights and remedies to it pursuant to local, state and federal law.
