For the purpose of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
AMBULANCE. Any privately or publicly owned motor vehicle or helicopter that is specifically designed or constructed and equipped and maintained or operated for the transportation of patients.
AMBULANCE PATIENT. Any person being transported to or from a health care facility in a reclining position from any point within the City of Canton.
AMBULANCE SERVICE CONTRACTOR. That entity which is currently under contract with the City of Canton to provide all ambulance services in the City of Canton, except those specifically exempted by this subchapter.
