(A) The City of Canton, Texas may designate and regulate garage sales within its corporate limits and extraterritorial jurisdiction and further declaring that garage sales by any group or individual are hereby limited to four such sales per calendar year with each sale limited to three consecutive days.
(B) A permit must be obtained from the City of Canton, Texas at least two full business days prior to the intended sale. The permit must be displayed in a conspicuous place on the premises during the hours of operation of the sale.
(C) Failure to obtain the required permit or any violation of this chapter is punishable by fine.
