§ 70.99  PENALTY.
   (A)   Whenever in this title an act is prohibited or is made or declared to be unlawful or an offense or a misdemeanor, or wherever in this title the doing of any act is required or the failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, and no specific penalty is otherwise provided in this code of ordinances, the violation shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $500, provided, however, that no penalty shall be greater or less than the penalty provided for the same or a similar offense of the laws of the state.
   (B)   Each day a violation of this code or of any ordinance continues shall constitute a separate offense.
   (C)   Any person violating any provisions of § 70.10(A), (B), (C), (D) or (E) shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine of not less than $5 nor more than $500 for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
