§ 150.118 NONCONFORMING USE.
   (A)   Continuation of nonconforming uses. The lawful use of any freestanding outdoor furnace existing at the time of the effective date of this subchapter may be continued, although the use may not conform to the provisions of this subchapter.
   (B)   Extension or enlargement. No pre-existing, nonconforming freestanding outdoor furnace shall hereafter be extended, enlarged or expanded.
   (C)   Abandonment and discontinuance. Any pre-existing, nonconforming, freestanding solid fuel-fired device/outdoor furnace which is abandoned or not used for a period of 12 consecutive months shall not be permitted to be reestablished as a nonconforming use, cannot be used and must be immediately removed by the property owner from the subject premises. If the property owner fails to remove the freestanding furnace by the end of 12 months, the city shall give written notice by certified mail, personal service or posting to the property owner upon which the freestanding furnace is located that the person shall remove the same within 15 days of the notice.
   (D)   Termination. At the time as the useful life of an existing, nonconforming, freestanding solid fuel-fired device/outdoor furnace has elapsed or would need to be repaired to function properly, the unit cannot be replaced and must be removed from the property within 15 days.
