The Council must approve the permit subject to reasonable conditions as may be appropriate and the standards in § 150.034 hereof. If the building does not satisfy the requirements for a permit, the Council may issue a permit on condition that the building is brought into compliance within a reasonable period of time as determined by the Council. The Council may further condition approval upon the applicant furnishing a letter of credit satisfactory to the city sufficient to cover the necessary work to bring the building into compliance.
