The Minnesota State Fire Code, as adopted pursuant to M.S. § 299F.011, as it may be amended from time to time, and as modified by Minn. Rules, Chapter 7511, shall be applicable within the city.
(A) Definitions.
(1) Wherever the word
JURISDICTION is used in the State Fire Code, it shall mean the City of Cannon Falls.
(2) Whenever the term
THIS CODE is used in the State Fire Code or this section, it shall mean the Code adopted pursuant to this section.
(B) Enforcement.
(1) The Chief of the Fire Department, or his or her designated representative, is authorized to enforce the provisions of the State Fire Code and this section.
(2) The Chief of the Fire Department, or his or her designated representative, may detail the members of the Fire Department as may be necessary to administer and enforce the provisions of this section.
(C) Penalties. A person who violates the provisions of the State Fire Code or this section after being given written notice shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each day's violation after notice thereof shall constitute a separate offense.
