In the event that a law firm is engaged to serve as general legal counsel for the City, one or more attorneys of such firm shall be designated by Council as Municipal Attorney and/or Assistant Municipal Attorneys, all to serve at the pleasure of Council. The appointed Municipal Attorney must be admitted to the practice of law in the State of Ohio and shall be a resident of the Municipality unless residence outside the Municipality is approved by a majority vote of the members of Council in accordance with Section 6.02 of the Charter of the Municipality. Council may also appoint one or more attorneys of that firm as Assistant Municipal Attorneys.
