(a) Every guest of a hotel or motel shall give the owner, authorized agent, or agent thereof reasonable access to their guest room for the purpose of cleaning, maintenance and compliance with this chapter.
(b) The City administration, Police Department, Fire Department or other agent authorized by the City shall have the authority to inspect and examine the register containing a record of all guests who have used or who are using the facilities of the hotel or motel for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of this Chapter.
(c) Every registrant, being defined as the guest occupying any room for any period of time, or in the event of more than one occupant to an individual unit, the guest paying the facility's fee for occupancy of any room for any term must register with valid photo identification before occupancy. The registration shall include the make, model and auto license plate number, if any, of any motor vehicle operated by such persons while lodging or occupying quarters at such motel or hotel. Upon request, such register or record shall be made available for inspection and review by police authorities and to any other law enforcement officials. The authorized agent, or agent thereof shall keep an accurate record of all registered guests for a minimum of one calendar year.
(d) The time of registration of an occupant of each separate room, suite, or other separate unit in any motel or hotel shall be noted upon such register or record.
