No person, persons, firm, partnership, corporation or association of persons shall engage in the operation of a pool or billiard room within the Municipality without first having secured from the Manager a license to do so, and paying to the Manager, in advance, the amount of such license fee as herein provided for each place of business operated by the licensee. The life of such license shall terminate at midnight on the night of December 31 in the year in which issued. Fees for all licenses that have less than one year to run from the date of issuance shall be computed on the quarter-year basis. All licenses shall be void if transferred and shall be subject to revocation by the Manager for misconduct of the party holding the same. (Ord. 1932-2. Passed 2-1-32.)
