(a) It is the policy of the City that no employee or applicant for employment shall be discriminated against in any form because of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age or handicap. The City is committed to the maintenance of work environments free of inappropriate and disrespectful conduct or communication of a sexual nature.

(b) Bona fide occupational qualifications may contain restrictions on, among other things, physical disability, sex or age. However, when established, occupational qualifications shall apply equally to all candidates for or employees of the affected positions.
