A. For purposes of establishing the Commission, the three (3) members shall be appointed for a temporary period, not to exceed one year, or ending sooner upon the time that the Corporate Authorities consider and approve any modifications to the Zoning Ordinance recommended by the Commission, so that the Commission will no longer be required to provide any further services to the Village.
B. The Village President shall appoint a Chairperson to the Commission who shall preside over all meetings and hearings of the Commission. The members of the Commission shall appoint amongst themselves a Secretary, who shall record the proceedings of the Commission and coordinate with Village staff to develop the final report of the Commission and proposed ordinance to be provided to the Corporate Authorities for consideration. The position of Secretary may be wholly satisfied by or supplemented with assistance from Village staff. (Ord. O-23-18, 11-21-2023)
