An alarm system that emits an audible signal that may be heard by persons outside the alarmed premises, structure or facility shall conform to the following requirements:
A. No audible alarm system shall create a sound similar to that of a civil defense warning system.
B. Audible alarm systems shall automatically discontinue emitting an audible alarm within ten (10) minutes after it is activated. (2013 Code § 3-3-8)
