There is established a zoning board of appeals for the village. The zoning board of appeals shall consist of seven (7) members who shall be appointed by the president, with the advice and consent of the board of trustees. Each member shall be appointed to serve for a term of five (5) years. Terms shall be staggered as required by statute, with at least one member appointed each year and not more than two (2) members appointed for full terms in any one year. As of June 9, 2015, the members of the zoning board of appeals shall also serve as members of the plan commission, and the chair of the zoning board of appeals shall also serve as the chair of the plan commission. The resignation, removal, or replacement of any member from the zoning board of appeals shall be deemed to be a resignation, removal, or replacement from the plan commission. (Ord. O-15-09, 7-7-2015)
